Overview:

Montgomery chose to make a frontal assault in an area defended by elements of Panzergrenadier Regiment Afrika and the weak Giovani Fascisti (Young Fascists). The 151st Infantry Brigade of the 50th Division reinforced by forty–odd Valentine tanks were able to cross a soggy floored wadi but no AT guns could follow. This would have dire consequences, for in the afternoon, the 15th Panzer Division counterattacked. . .

2024-09-25(A) M T vs V.K. German winThe Germans had some unexpected trouble with the British armor, losing a PzIV and getting a PzIII immobilized in the tank battle. After the British tanks were gone they were however able to take the required trenches by Turn 8.

We played this to practice some basic desert rules. It's a nice enough scenario, though the British player is pretty much condemned to just sitting in the trenches after his armor is gone - which will most likely happen sooner or later. This would probably also work as a solo game.

2020-05-02(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winGrueling game. Rain turned to Heavy Rain and just sapped both Dan and I mentally. After 6 hours, (Turn 4) the British tanks were gone, the German half-tracks were done, and the Germans had taken 4 trenches. Not wanting it last any longer, I gave the concession and Dan's Germans had the win.
